What this app does

Lotto Stats is a statistics and entertainment tool that displays historical Powerball and Mega Millions drawing data. It is not a gambling service and does not facilitate wagering of any kind.

Data we collect

We collect the minimum data necessary to operate the app:

• Push notification token — If you enable draw notifications, your device's push token is sent to our backend (Firebase Cloud Messaging) solely to deliver those notifications. It is not used for marketing and is not sold.
• AI Q&A questions — If you use the Ask feature, the text of your question is sent to our backend and forwarded to the Anthropic Claude API to generate an answer. Questions are not stored after a response is returned.
• Crash and performance data — Firebase may collect anonymized crash reports and performance metrics to help us fix bugs. This data is governed by Google's privacy policy.

Data we do not collect

• We do not require an account or collect your name, email, or any personal identifier.
• Your saved picks are stored only on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. They are never transmitted to our servers.
• Firebase Analytics is disabled — we do not track in-app behavior or build user profiles.
• We do not display ads or share data with advertisers.

Third-party services

• Google Firebase (Cloud Functions, Firestore, Cloud Messaging, App Check) — used for backend data delivery and push notifications. Firebase Privacy Policy
• Anthropic — used to power the AI Q&A feature. Questions are processed under Anthropic's API terms. Anthropic Privacy Policy
• NY State Open Data (Socrata) — public lottery draw data; no personal data is involved.

Data retention

Push notification tokens are retained only while you have notifications enabled. Disabling notifications in the app removes your token from our system. AI questions are not retained after the response is delivered.

Children's privacy

This app is not directed at children under 17. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
